Previously controversial for mocking SHINee's late Jonghyun's memorial photo → Died in a helicopter accident in June

(MHN Reporter Ahn Ji-hoon) The will of American singer Oliver Tree, who died in a helicopter crash last June, has been revealed.

According to TMZ's report on the 4th (local time), Oliver Tree reportedly requested his family not to sell his art pieces and provided detailed instructions on how to utilize them.

The will stipulated that all of Oliver Tree's artworks should be preserved, while everything else could be sold. The preserved art pieces include costumes, scooters, flame quad bikes, music props and installations, tour props and equipment, podcast props, and video storyboards.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Oliver Tree's father, Jesse Nickell III, has reportedly requested the court to appoint him as the trustee of his son's estate. He stated that his son did not leave behind a spouse or children, and had designated him as the estate administrator with his mother, Christine, as an alternate.

Oliver Tree died at the age of 32 in a helicopter collision accident over Recreio dos Bandeirantes in western Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on June 14.

He had previously sparked controversy and outrage among Korean fans for inappropriately using and manipulating a photo from the late SHINee member Jonghyun's funeral, superimposing his own face onto it. At the time, Jonghyun's fans expressed their displeasure and demanded the photo be removed and an apology issued. However, Oliver Tree dismissed them, referring to them as "K-pop extremists." After facing intense criticism, he finally posted an apology on his account in October 2021, two years after the incident.
