WHIB member Yugeon is set to star in the short-form drama "My Idol is a Public Service Worker," marking his transition from stage to screen.

CJES Studio, Yugeon's agency, announced on the 17th that the K-pop star has been cast in the upcoming series.

Produced by Showbox and Studio Wow, with Kim Seok-mok directing, "My Idol is a Public Service Worker" promises a fresh take on the romantic comedy genre. The plot revolves around Kang-bin, Korea's top idol, and Hye-won, his former superfan turned critic. Their paths cross at a rural community center where they find themselves in the unlikely roles of public service worker and supervisor. The series explores their journey from idol-fan relationship to rivals, ultimately leading to mutual understanding and potential romance.

Yugeon will step into the shoes of Kang-bin, a chart-topping idol with a complex personality. While Kang-bin exudes perfection on stage, his off-stage persona is decidedly more carefree. A series of unexpected scandals lands him in a rural community center as a public service worker.
