Why ’너 말고 다른 연애’ Is Taking the Global Streaming Scene by Storm: A Deep Dive
'Not Your Love' Resonates Globally with 10-Year Romance Saga

KBS's 'Not Your Love' has made a splash on Amazon Prime Video, landing the 7th spot in the overall series rankings and clinching 2nd place in the non-English series category.
The data, collected from September 14 to 20, shows the series' 3rd and 4th episodes propelled it up four spots from last week's 6th position in the non-English series category.
The show's global appeal hinges on the decade-long love story between Namgoong Ho (Seo Kang-joon) and Lee Mi-do (Ahn Eun-jin). Childhood friends since age seven, they became a couple on a snowy day in 2017. Namgoong Ho boldly approached Lee Mi-do, declaring, "We won't fall into the cliché of dating and breaking up." Since then, they've marked the year's first snowfall as their special anniversary.
Their journey together is marked by shared dreams and personal growth. Namgoong Ho, a confectionery researcher, created a wildly popular 'hot chocolate chip', while Lee Mi-do's assistant directorial work on "When That Day Comes" helped the film surpass 10 million viewers. A poignant moment occurred on the snowy day of 2020 when Namgoong Ho, for the first time, shed tears in front of Lee Mi-do, revealing deep-seated pain related to his birth mother. This emotional breakthrough ironically marked their first separate snowfall anniversary.
As they hit their mid-30s, reality set in. While Namgoong Ho's career flourished, Lee Mi-do struggled, leading to a brief breakup before reconciling with plans to marry. However, this year's snowfall anniversary brought unexpected drama: Namgoong Ho rushed to rescue his junior Park Soo-ah (Jo Ah-ram), while Lee Mi-do, after a heated exchange with Han Tae-seung (Lee Joo-an), spent the night at his office. For the first time in their relationship, they experienced the season's first snow apart.
'Not Your Love' airs on KBS2 every Saturday and Sunday at 9:20 PM KST. The series is simultaneously streamed to over 240 countries worldwide via Amazon Prime Video.
