I-DLE’s Yuqi Finds Solo Success, Tops Ktown4u Weekly Chart

(MHN Reporter Lee Yun-bi) YUQI of girl group I-DLE has claimed the No.1 spot on the weekly album sales chart of global entertainment platform Ktown4u.
Global fandom-based entertainment platform Ktown4u released its album sales rankings for the week of September 15–21. According to the chart, Yuqi’s first single album 'Motivation', released on September 16, sold 4,482 copies during the period, claiming the top position.

This marks Yuqi’s return as a solo artist about one year and five months after her April 2023 mini album 'YUQ1'. The new single features three tracks: the title song 'M.O.', 'I’m Hurt', and its Chinese version '还痛吗' (Hai Tong Ma).
The music video for I’m Hurt, pre-released on September 10, gained significant buzz across Greater China, with Yuqi starring alongside popular Chinese actor Wang Anyu. The song, highlighted by its warm guitar sound, conveys the raw emotions of facing a breakup.

The title track 'M.O.' is a boom bap–based hip-hop number, carrying the message that Yuqi is driven not by external expectations but by her own instinctive conviction. Her deep, weighty vocals blend seamlessly with vintage drum loops and a powerful bass line.
The accompanying music video captivates viewers with colorful ’90s-inspired concepts. From retro hair salons and office settings to surreal spaces, Yuqi’s striking transformations and stylish visuals take center stage.
'Motivation' was released on major streaming platforms at 6 p.m. KST on September 16.
